Our Charcoal Lavender handcrafted soap is second to none! This soap has a nice lather and is loaded with purifying activated charcoal and soothing Lavender Essential Oil. It is a customer favorite and one of our favorites as well. This handcrafted soap works well as both a facial cleansing bar and body bar! Charcoal Lavender handcrafted soap produces a generous lather. It rinses off easily without leaving a residue as some commercial soap products do and, if allowed to dry between uses, it lasts a long while.
Benefits of Activated Charcoal
Charcoal has been used for thousands of years for cleansing and medicinal purposes. The Egyptians used it to clean wounds, and it had been used to filter water. It was discovered that Charcoal had a use in removing toxins in the 1800’s. When used in soap, activated Charcoal can help remove excess Oils from the skin. This attribute may be helpful with acne. Charcoal is also an excellent exfoliant.

Scientific Studies, folk wisdom and anecdotal evidence suggests Lavender has a wide range of benefits. Lavender Oil is believed to have antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Some studies have shown promise that Lavender Oil may help in fighting fungal-resistant infections. There have been studies showing Lavender aids in wound healing. Looking back in history Lavender has been used in folk remedies for ages.

We at KMB Farms make our soaps in small batches using responsibly sourced ingredients. We strive use ingredients that have promising benefits. Our Charcoal Lavender Soap is made with the following all natural ingredients;
Castor Oil – There is limited research on the use of Castor Oil on the skin, however anecdotal evidence claims anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and cleansing properties.
Coconut Oil – Studies have shown that Coconut Oil may kill harmful microorganisms on the skin, reduce inflammation, have benefits for acne, and work as a moisturizer. In cold process soap, it creates a harder bar and helps produce more lather.
Olive Oil – Olive Oil has been used on the skin since ancient times, It is believed that Cleopatra was a fan. Studies show Olive Oil applied to the skin can help prevent signs of photo-aging and sun damage. Olive Oil is also good for breaking down waxy substances such as waterproof mascara.
Lard – Anecdotal evidence suggests Lard is good for reducing fine lines and Wrinkles, tones the skin, and reduces dryness.
Activated Charcoal – Activated Charcoal is great for combination to oily skin. Its ability to absorb oil and dirt from pores leaves skin feeling balanced. If you have dry skin, activated charcoal may be a little too drying.
Lavender Essential Oil – Used for scent, Lavender Essential Oil has shown to be very calming and relaxing.
