Benefits of Oatmeal
Oatmeal contains avenanthramides that according to some studies are restorative to the outer layer of the skin. Oatmeal also has astringent properties that help draw out excess Oils. Maybe the most important attribute of oatmeal is its soothing properties, antioxidants and other compounds in oatmeal have shown to have anti-inflammatory benefits. Oatmeal is a mild exfoliant.
Benefits of Honey
Honey has been used since ancient times for its health and beauty benefits. In soaps it acts as a humectant, meaning it helps retain moisture. The sugars in honey help increase lather and then there is the sweet scent as an added bonus.

We at KMB Farms make our soaps in small batches using responsibly sourced ingredients. We strive use ingredients that have promising benefits. Our Oatmeal Honey Soap is made with the following all natural ingredients;
Avocado Oil– There is evidence in studies that Avocado Oil may have a protective effect from UV rays and Avocado Oil has a moisturizing effect.
Castor Oil– There is limited research on the use of Castor Oil on the skin, however anecdotal evidence claims anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and cleansing properties.
Coconut Oil– Studies have shown that Coconut Oil may kill harmful microorganisms on the skin, reduce inflammation, have benefits for acne, and work as a moisturizer. In cold process soap, it creates a harder bar and helps produce more lather.
Olive Oil- Olive Oil has been used on the skin since ancient times, It is believed that Cleopatra was a fan. Studies show Olive Oil applied to the skin can help prevent signs of photo-aging and sun damage. Olive Oil is also good for breaking down waxy substances such as waterproof mascara.
Shea Butter – Produces a more creamy, harder bar with moisturizing properties. It is believed Shea Butter was first used in Africa to protect the skin against effects of sun exposure. Shea Butter is known as one of the best natural moisturizers. There is evidence that Shea Butter is beneficial for wounds and insect bites due to it being rich in fatty acids and plant sterols.

Honey- Sourced from our own hives at KMB farms, honey is a natural humectant, which means it absorbs moisture from the air. Humectants are great for helping the skin retain moisture. Honey also contains antioxidants and natural sugars which can increase the lather of cold process soap.
