Yarrow Salve for Cuts, Scrapes, and Bug Bites.

Bug bites, cuts, scrapes, and various other boo boos! Yarrow Salve is made from hand-picked Yarrow. For our Yarrow Salve, we use all of the plant: flowers, leaves, and stems. We dry them and infuse in Olive Oil which draws out the healing properties of the plant. We add some beeswax for firmness and Tea Tree and Lavender Essential Oils for extra skin-soothing, anti-microbial benefits. My family has found this Yarrow Salve to be great at healing cuts and scrapes quickly and relieving the itch and sting of bug bites.

Our Yarrow Salve is made from “seed to store” meaning that we grow, harvest, and process Yarrow from our own farm. We do purchase our beeswax, Olive Oil, and Essential Oils from reputable outside sources.

Yarrow has been used as a healing herb since ancient times. Yarrow’s Greek Name, Achillea millefolium, was named after Achilles, the hero of Greek Mythology. It is said the Achilles used Yarrow to stop the bleeding wounds of his Soldiers during the Trojan War. Yarrow’s most ancient use is in healing the skin. Yarrow has antimicrobial and pain relieving traits and is wonderful for soothing skin that is prone to irritations. It nourishes and restores.
